On Friday 27th February 2015, the Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muscat together with the Hon. Dr. Edward Zammit Lewis, Minister for Tourism, paid a courtesy visit to Valletta Cruise Port plc, developer and operator of the Valletta Cruise Terminals and of Valletta Waterfront.
Dr. Muscat toured the company’s new offices and had the opportunity to meet the company’s chairman, Mr. Joseph Zammit Tabona; directors, management and staff.
Valletta Cruise Port’s CEO, Mr. Stephen Xuereb highlighted the future prospects of the cruise industry and Valletta Waterfront. ‘Valletta enjoys a solid reputation as a reliable, professional and competitive port. Following an initial capital investment of over €37 million, Valletta Cruise Port is moving forward with further investment to develop pockets of land along the waterfront. Consolidating Valletta as a primary port of call as well as developing the homeporting sector remains top of the company’s agenda,’ he added.
