The Marsa Local Council is hosting an evening of classical music and an exhibition on Saturday 19th November 2022, within the Chapel of the Flight to Egypt by the Holy Family and Sagrestia Vault, with the support of Valletta Cruise Port.
The event will be inaugurated with an evening of music by soprano Gabrielle Portelli, pianist Maria-Elena Farrugia, harpist Dr. Lydia Buttigieg, violinist Edwina Cini, saxophonist Mario Mercieca, with the participation of Marsa’s two parish choirs and the Jackson Pipeband.
The exhibition which is being held at the Sagrestia Vault, Valletta Waterfront will showcase photos of the town of Marsa through the years. It will be open to the public on Thursday 17th November between 5pm and 9pm and Saturday 19th November between 5pm and 10pm, with entrance being free.

Josef Azzopardi, Mayor of Marsa remarked, “Marsa is this year’s crowned as the Malta’s Capital of Culture 2022. During this year we are trying our best to expose the historical, artistic and cultural values of our community. The programme presented will be carried out by artists that come from Marsa. Choosing the Waterfront is ideal to expose such talents to a bigger and wider audience.”
