The village of Marsaxlokk is the premier fishing harbour on the Island. Focused around a quaint harbour in which colourful fishing boats bring in the catch of the day, the fishermen themselves turn salesmen on Sunday mornings and display their produce to shoppers. Aside from the wonderful array of fresh fish including grouper, stonefish, white bream, red mullet, tuna and swordfish, the market extends to a number of stalls selling everything from local arts and craft to souvenirs, local foods and more.
